All things nothing, something and Real Estate... #18
It's that time of year again when many of us are hacking and coughing and we blame the virus we just caught on something like not wearing a jacket, going outside with wet hair, or walking barefoot outside in the rain. Remember we are constantly fighting off viruses. But that is just it... viruses cause colds, not wet hair or barefoot walking.
Other old wives tales that we hear often: Cracking your knuckles will cause arthritis - no scientific link; Starve a cold, feed a fever - at least eat some soup, fasting will weaken you; Spicy foods will cause ulcers - in fact some spices contain capsaicin which stimulates blood flow and may actually help heal an ulcer.
Thinking about de-toxifying... there are too many so-called remedy's on the market claiming to 'clean', 'purge', 'de-toxify' your body. The healthy body has kidneys, a liver, skin, even lungs that are detoxifying as we speak. And of these the liver does the lions share of ridding your body of toxins, and actually does it quite well. If your body didn't do this you would be dead. Don't fall for all of those 'de-toxifying' scams out there.
Real Estate News... Myths about Real Estate Agents
When looking for a real estate agent there are some common misconceptions out there, such as: Agents will say anything to make the sale. False. While it is true that some agents may lie to you, most agents follow the Code of Ethics. Agents with a solid reputation in the community and practice real estate honestly and truthfully, are very careful to uphold a client's trust. Making misrepresentations or a false statement is against the law. Agents who break fiduciary relationships or fail to disclose material facts are subject to prosecution and a loss of their license to sell real estate.
